What To Do Before Your Safe and Vault Movers Arrive
At Budget moving and storage, we understand and recognize there are certain requirements and guidelines that NEED to be followed when transporting large-sized safes, especially gun safes. We will help you throughout the process and answer any questions you have about preparing your safe for the relocation process.
If you are going to have professional safe packers and movers relocating your large safe, floor mounted safe, or gun safe during your residential or commercial move, you need to follow the proper procedure to prepare it to be relocated. Make sure you have completed the following before your safe movers in your state arrive:
- Have all gun registrations and licenses together to show your movers.
- All rifles and pistols need to be unloaded if they are to be moved within the safe.
- All ammunition needs to be removed before the safe is transported.
- Inventory any valuables and document contents. Remove any mounting equipment so the safe can move freely.
- Please note that we cannot move live ammunition within our moving trucks nor can we move guns that do not have proper registration or licensing.
- Keeping your guns and valuables secure is part of being a responsible homeowner. However, moving your gun safe or large floor safe can be quite a hassle.
