Local moving prices are based on three things: the number of movers, the hours on the job and the truck. Every hourly rate includes the truck, dollies, straps, furniture blankets and floor protection, so you’re not paying separately for equipment. The clock runs from when the crew arrives until the last item is placed, and your estimate shows the expected hours before you book.
A few things can add time or cost, and we list them up front: extra flights of stairs, long walks from the door to the truck, packing on move day, and heavy specialty items like pianos or gun safes. Long-distance moves are priced by shipment size and distance instead of by the hour, with a written estimate based on your inventory.
