Step 3: Keep It On You — Always
This is the part people get wrong. The bag only works if it stays with you.
- Wear it on your shoulders while you direct the movers!! — Keep it in YOUR car so you don’t accidentally put it down and someone happens to pick it up thinking its an item going on the moving truck
- Set it in the passenger seat for the drive, not in the truck!
- If you’re moving with family, confirm everyone has their own bag before you pull out
- Assign one person to be responsible for the pet bag, one for the kid bag, and one for the emergency bags that way not all of the pressure and responsibility is on you.
